Big idea: Solomon finally builds the temple after 480 years. It’s a sign of God’s covenantal blessing, providing a permanent and central place of worship. Yet one building could not keep the people from idolatry, or provide the worship God truly deserves. Instead, God is building us together into a living temple, with Christ Jesus as the chief cornerstone.
