Big idea: Can we be good enough to get to heaven and what role, if any, does Jesus play in that? That’s the question debated in the early church between Augustine and Pelagius. It’s also a topic answered for us in Romans: No we can’t be good enough, but because of God’s grace we can be saved through faith in Christ.
