Big idea: The dedication of the temple represents the high point of the Bible’s story so far – all God’s blessings have been fulfilled, and the people celebrate. But it also comes with the expectation that sin will cause an upset to this blessing. Only in Jesus is covenant faithfulness met, and blessings truly secured.
